The General Missionary Baptist State Convention held its 136th Annual Session from July 21-24, 2025, at the Greater Pearlie Grove M.B. Church in Jackson, MS. This four-day event brought together several churches from the Jackson metro area and across the state of Mississippi to worship, work, witness, and renew their shared mission.
Attendees of the session engaged in a variety of activities, including preaching, teaching, learning, fellowshipping, and planning for future work. Each day began with a morning devotion, followed by congress classes and seminars. After the classes, everyone gathered for the general assembly, where worship services were led by dynamic preachers from across the nation. Members also had the opportunity to participate in outreach ministry. Additionally, there were auxiliary meetings for the Ushers, Laymen, Minister’s wives, and women.
Each evening concluded with another worship service featuring renowned speakers. The session culminated with the President of GMBSC, Rev. Reginald Buckley of Cade’s Chapel, delivering the State of GMBSC Address. A historic moment occurred when Rev.
